Casual Weekend Inspiration

Big Ben, The Thames, Clapham Common, Hyde Park, Buckingham Palace, Soho & Oxford Street.

What do all of these place have in common?  They will be my destinations come Wednesday when I fly out to my beloved London and I'm excited beyond words!

After 4 years back in Melbourne I'm returning to London for one of my besties wedding, and couldn't be more excited.  The one thing I have been stressing over is packing!  With the weather being so unpredictable, it's hard to work out what to take and what to leave.

So here are some of my casual inspiration pics.  With many lunches, dinners and nights out booked, being prepared with set outfits is the key to packing well.

Day time shopping with lunch date to boot

Clubbing & Power Ballads Night out with the girls

Sunday pub lunch ~ think Sunday roast & red wine!
Day on Oxford Street shopping
Dinner with the girls

No doubt there will many blog posts on my travels....most of them about what I wore and what I bought and all the fab fashion that I'll be lusting after when I hit London!

Do you have a favorite shopping destination in London?

The Girl's got Chops ~ Ms VB

So I never really thought that this day would come.... but yes it is here and yes you can say... "I can't believe she said it!!"

I love VB!

The Spice girl that couldn't sing, the chick that never cracks a smile and her lips are always pursed like a cat's...........well you know the saying!  The girl that bagged "Mr Bend it" himself!  Vicki B, VB, The Becks, Posh, Ms Sour Spice has done good!!

The Girl's got chops and she's not afraid to show it.

With Victoria Beckhams fashion line coming to David Jones in September, I have to say that I'm super excited to see her wears up close.  Even though I know that my pinky finger may be the only thing to fit in to those super tight structures, I'm in love with everything that she's doing at the moment.

I also have to say that following her on Twitter has given me a new found love for her quirky sense of humour and the odd ball things that she does.  The chick is funny, what can I say!   She's even just launched her own range of designer glasses!!

Her fashions are divine and whilst I originally thought that she was a Roland Mouret copycat to start with, I think Vicki has come into her own with some fab cuts, fabrics and styles!

Even if I can't fit into most of her designs, I'll have fun trying!

Designer Bargain Hunter

Flowing frocks, stunning shades, great fit, catwalk envy...... designer clothes not only have great cuts, fabrics and designs but when you put them on, there is definitely a psychological side to wearing these garments.  When you look great you feel great!  Saying that, not all of us can afford $600 plus for one item so getting in while the sales are on it key to fitting out your wardrobe with amazing designer goods for a faction of the price.

As mentioned in yesterday's outfit post, now is a great time to get in on some of the designer sales that are online!   Here are some of my favorites worth checking out.

All in a Days work ~ outfit post

After much coaxing by a few lovely readers & friends, I thought I'd give an outfit post a go.  I love wearing brights to work so hopefully I inspire you to leave the black behind and break out the brights!

Another great tip for this time of year is to check out the designer sales that are on.  Both Lisa Ho and Karen Millen have some great sales with some items under $100.  Sometimes it's easy to think that certain brands are not accessible to due to their price ranges, but if you shop at the right times ~ like now, you can pick up a gorgeous bargain to add to your wardrobe.
